
Spain and Gibraltar celebrate removal of land border after post-Brexit deal
Crowds crossed freely from Spain into Gibraltar for the first time in 118 years after the physical border with the contested British territory was removed overnight.

The historic agreement - which came into force at midnight - follows four years of negotiations after Britain's exit from the European Union.
Spain will now be responsible for Schengen border controls at Gibraltar airport and port.
That means no more passport checks for the 15,000 Spanish workers who cross into the Rock every day.
