BMW M240i is larger, more powerful, and quicker, than the model it replaces. The current generation is called G42, and it replaces the F22. At launch the M240i was offered only with xDrive, the RWD version was launched in mid 2022. This is the xDrive, but the AWD is rear-biased, which you can feel in the corners. The 3-liter inline 6-cylinder engine in the M240i produces 374 hp. That’s more than in the BMW M2 F87, and more than in the BMW Z4 M40i. Way more, than in the old M235i. And it makes 500 Nm of torque. But as the M240i xDrive weighs over 1700 kilograms, the engine has a lot of work to do.
