Subaru Solterra is the Japanese brand's first EV. Solterra and its Toyota Bz4x sibling are both made on Toyota's EV platform e-TNGA. The name Solterra is a combination of two Latin words: sol - sun and terra - earth. They are meant to emphasize Subaru's commitment to delivering traditional SUV qualities in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
