A giant chunk from a Space-X rocket has crashed into the moon - after floating around in space for almost a year.

The four tonne object - part of the Space X Falcon 9 rocket - slammed into the lunar surface at a speed of around 5,400 miles an hour. NASA said the impact was expected to have blasted out a 60 foot wide crater.
