US Senator Chris Coons says Donald Trump's warmer tone on Ukraine isn't a change of heart on Russia. He says that Trump siding with whoever looks like they're winning on the battlefield – and that could change at any moment.
Coons, a Democrat from Delaware who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was at the NATO summit in Ankara where Trump met President Zelenskyy.
He tells FourSight's Kiran Moodley how likely he thinks it is that Ukraine actually gets the Patriot missiles it's asking for, explains the bipartisan Russia sanctions bill working its way through Congress, and – using a bipartisan housing bill Trump abruptly refused to sign as his example – speaks candidly about how hard it is to predict Trump on anything, Ukraine included.
