The actress Dame Penelope Keith, who starred in television sitcoms The Good Life and To the Manor Born, has died at the age of 86.

Her family said she had died peacefully, while living with cancer, at her longtime home in Surrey.
She won a BAFTA for her role as the snobbish surburbanite Margo Leadbetter in The Good Life which became one of the defining comedy series of the 1970s.
