Horse With No Name is one of the best two chord songs you can learn as a beginner, and the chord transition is about as smooth as it gets. E minor to D major, and your index finger barely moves between the two shapes. Just slide it from the A and D strings over to the G string and you're there.
The strumming pattern is a simple up down up down and once that becomes automatic the whole thing just grooves. Two chords, one easy transition, and a song that sounds great from the very first time you play it.
