A Cocktail Piano Solo with Walkthrough and Analysis
In this tutorial I play through a cocktail piano solo and then look in detail at some of the techniques I’ve used, including harmonic extension and substitution, rubato and other rhythmic techniques, as well as some specifically cocktail-related features like pitch range and decoration. The tutorial serves as a follow-up to the three-part “Cocktail Piano From Scratch” tutorial series I posted a while back (see playlist link below), but also stands alone. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for many more in-depth piano tutorials!
