Easy But Epic Piano Pieces, no. 1: "Hambleton Mosses"
If you're looking for easy piano pieces that still look and sound cool, this occasional series of tutorials - entitled Easy But Epic Piano Pieces - could be the place to start. Each one contains a single piece with a detailed walkthrough. The pieces are easy, but they should still challenge you: if you've got Grade 2 or Grade 3 on the piano or you've completed my series of beginners' piano tutorials (link below) you should be fine.
This piece is called "Hambleton Mosses", and it's got a few cool features, like hand over hand work, additive time signatures and a variety of tuplets, that should test and stretch your abilities without presenting major technical challenges. I play the piece twice, one at the start with the score on screen, and once towards the end of the tutorial without the score on screen, so you can see what my hands are doing on the piano keyboard.
Watch out for the next Easy But Epic Piano Piece coming soon!
