3 Jazz Improv Techniques for Better Solos on ANY Instrument
Improvising jazz solos can seem scary challenging, so here are three great techiques you can use to get started with solo playing or improve your skills if you’re already learning jazz. I demonstrate all three on the piano, but like it says in the title you can apply them on pretty much any instrument.
Here's the chord progression in full:
Ebmaj7 | F7 | Bbmaj7 | Dm7, G7 | Cm7 | F7 | Bbmaj7, Gm7 | Fm7, F°7 |
...remember that doesn't include any of the chord substitutions I use when improvising on the piano part — they're all described in the tutorial.
