This piano tutorial covers a technique I call semi-objective feedback, which essentially involves videoing yourself as you practise playing the piano in order to identify problems and opportunities that you might not spot in the heat of practice. The tutorial covers some basic techniques for self-filming, including taking shots from the side and above, and then considers in detail some of the things you need to look out for. For beginners that might mean hand position problems, while for more advanced piano players it might mean issues related to clarity, fingering, timing and more.
