More than 200 extra police officers have been sent into Middlesbrough after a series of violent incidents in recent days.

Cars were set on fire last night as youths gathered at a vigil for one of the young men killed in the fatal A66 crash which left seven people dead including 2 police officers.
The local council leader said detectives and armed response officers would help keep "innocent residents" safe.
