4X4 Cummins Diesel Expedition Truck Build | Destination Adventure
Another week down, and another step closer to being back on the road. After seeing this truck in pieces for weeks, sometimes it felt like the job would never end. The work is not over yet, but the truck is back together and ready to start seeing some miles. The back end of this truck did not need nearly as much attention as the front, but it certainly came with some surprises as well. The bearings were in pretty rough shape, so I am happy to see some new ones in there. The leaf packs were far worse than I imagined, but some heavy duty new ones will carry the weight of the living quarters no problem. I am postponing the installation of the air bags until the camper is mounted, just to be sure that the fitment is correct, but the install should be very straight forward.
We are finally onto phase two of the build after this episode, which is such a relief, especially with winter coming to an end soon. Phase one was a lot of work and challenge, but it was only possible because of the support I have gotten on this build. Thank you so much to everyone the has contributed to make this all possible.
