Rare Field Car Find Identified.
This is a 1953 Nash Statesman, which has been living under that tree in a farmers field for decades. It has in fact been sitting there in the field for longer than the ranchers have owned the property. The Nash Statesman was only in production for six years, so there are not many around anymore, and that always makes for an exciting find.
Clearly a tree has fallen on the roof of the car, which makes it a pretty bad candidate for a restoration, but the car has a really beautiful patina on it. Sitting out in the grasslands, covered by a tree, has preserved the old girl surprisingly well.
Thank you for all of the comments and answers helping to identify this old beauty, it was a fascinating one to learn about.
